baby developmentYou may be facing perhaps the greatest personal challenge of your life. Finding out if you’re pregnant or not can be overwhelming. You need to know that you are not alone. Find someone you can talk to, someone you can trust.

Everyone around you will have an opinion about what you should do. Some people will be supportive of what you want, while some won’t.

We believe that you need to make a choice based on what you know is best for you, and we want you to have all the information you need to make that choice. The choice that is right for you – not what everyone else wants.
We are here for you – whatever choice you make. We are committed to providing you with caring emotional support, no matter what you decide.

You have options.

The thought of being a parent comes with many emotions, and can be overwhelming at any time, and especially if your pregnancy is unexpected.

Most people see themselves as being parents at some point in their lives, but the timing and your current situation may leave you in an emotional frenzy. We can help you understand and realistically approach your pregnancy as a time to enjoy the experience of becoming a parent. Together we can help you evaluate your options and explore help and services available to you.

We know that taking good care of your baby means taking care of yourself first. We can help you access a wide range of resources available to you within our community ranging from prenatal care, childbirth, lactation, and newborn care to parenting support programs.

We are here to help you.

Some people find themselves financially, emotionally or otherwise unable to parent. You may see yourself in that place – wanting more for your baby than you can give him right now. Adoption may be an excellent option for you and your baby.

Choosing an adoption is never an easy decision for a variety of reasons. One of the primary reasons is the fear of living with ongoing sadness. This emotion is normal and understandable; carrying a baby for nine months involves bonding, so separation is going to be painful.

We are here to help you through each step of this journey in making an adoption plan that is right for you, with the help of excellent resources and agencies.

Some women think abortion is their best and only option. Some women are indecisive about their view on abortion. Other women feel pressured by people around them to consider abortion. We are here to help you sort through your thoughts, feelings and questions.

Our trained peer counsellors are available to discuss with you any questions you may have regarding abortions in general, having an abortion, risks associated with abortion, and alternatives to abortion.

An abortion can never be undone, so it is critical that you take the time to carefully consider all aspects of abortion as you determine what is best for you and your baby. It is vital that you equip yourself the best information available to help you make your decision. You have a right to know all the facts.
